UBA Platform

A nonprofit's complete digital infrastructure, delivered solo in roughly one week

The Új Birkózásért Alapítvány needed more than a website. It needed a credible official presence for grant applications, a way to reach more supporters, secure online donations, professional own-domain email, and tools the organisation could operate without a developer handling every update.

I designed and built the solution independently in roughly one week: the visual identity and public experience, a protected content studio, the payment and email flows, the cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, legal surfaces, and operational documentation.

One platform, real editorial control

Editors can publish news and events, manage galleries, documents and sponsors, record supporter payments, and use reporting and traffic tools from a shared admin interface. Content is separated by site, allowing the same platform to power the live foundation website and, later, the Újpesti Birkózás site without mixing the two brands. The second public site and its WordPress migration are still in progress and are not presented here as production work.

Donations and communications

The live donation journey uses Stripe Checkout for card, Apple Pay and Google Pay payments. Signed webhooks validate the amount, environment and session before recording a donation, while idempotent Resend delivery sends the donor a branded confirmation without duplicate emails. Google-based own-domain mail supports the foundation's day-to-day communication.

Production infrastructure

The application runs on Cloudflare Workers with D1 for structured content, R2 for public media, and Cloudflare Access protecting the admin through verified JWTs and an explicit user allowlist. GitHub Actions runs linting, type checks, builds and automated tests before deployment, applies database migrations, and creates scheduled D1 backups. The stack is Next.js, React, TypeScript, Vinext, Vite, Tailwind CSS and Drizzle ORM.

Grant work beyond development

My contribution also extended into funding strategy. I wrote the complete Standard Visegrad Grant application for a four-country youth wrestling programme worth close to HUF 23 million, covering the project narrative, training camp and public event concept, partner roles, measurable outputs, sustainability commitments and budget logic. The application is awaiting a decision, so this is presented as submitted grant work rather than secured funding.
